  1. My husband and I ride motorcycles (more sporty, less leather). I’ve been reading about motorcycle groups that are becoming advocates for children in need. Escorting kids to court hearings where they have to testify against abusers, or sleeping on the porch to protect kids who could be in danger. So very beautiful!

Cori, I got goosebumps when I read your comment. I can so see this group of guys doing something like that. You just never know what’s under the “wrappings” when it comes to people. That’s where the beauty lies.

  2. I love this post, a charity I need to look into for sure! Thanks for sharing!

  3. I love how you defined beauty! Thanks for sharing your sweet experiences with the bikers and the Lions camp. 🙂

  4. I love that you challenged the definition of beauty. There are beautiful people and acts all over the place when we look!

Lisa, so many don’t bother to look. When I start to pre-judge someone, I stop and ask myself – “What if they’re an angel?” Makes you look at someone in a whole different light.

  5. Such a great story. So true regarding beauty in everything! Xoxo

Lindsay, I’m taking that cyber hug you sent and passing it along to someone else. One just can’t get enough support.

I love everything about this. My background is in disability services and your post has me teary. And your husband’s group is awesome. When my grandfather died, a group of motorcyclists lined part of the road on the way to the cemetery and the image has stayed with me. I’ve re-read your post three times already.

  7. very sweet post – this is awesome that this group of people support something that is important. So many times people judge a book by it’s cover & lose out on the realness behind it. Too bad for them, lucky for those who choose to take a moment and see what’s behind a person that their appearance. =)

  8. I’d say you and your husband fell in with the right crowd when you found this motorcycle club. Truly a bunch of beautiful people, and like everyone else who has commented here, I’m reading with tears in your eyes. Beauty has so many dimensions.
